Charming Spring Wedding at Marblegate Farm with delicate details.
Our love story blossomed out of what was initially friendship. It took Steven a while to convince me to go out on our first date, but once we did, we never looked back. We went through an amazing journey in our relationship leading up to our wedding day – some really high highs like traveling around the world together to places like Japan and Italy and Uruguay, and some lows like when we spent a year apart when Steven went back to business school in Chicago.
After visiting Marblegate virtually, since we live in Dallas, we fell in love with the venue immediately and did not think twice about where we wanted to tie the knot. We were hopeful at that point in summer 2020 when our wedding planning started that the pandemic would be coming to an end by Spring. We certainly faced a few challenges in planning brought on by the pandemic – our original band cancelled on us a few months before the big day, but we were so lucky to find Ascension and they were better than we could ever have dreamed of. Neither of us are great planners and relied heavily on Whitney to take the wheel and make our dream wedding come true.
By far our favorite part of the wedding was what you might expect – having all of our friends and family surrounding us for our wedding ceremony and feeling the immense amount of love from everyone. It is rare to have all of your closest family and friends under one roof for one night, and it was an amazing feeling. There was so much energy under the tent that night, we do not think it could have gone any better.
