A drizzly December day couldn’t stop this beautiful wedding at The Standard in downtown Knoxville, TN…and being eight months pregnant (and huge!) couldn’t stop me from photographing it!

After capturing Rachel’s brother’s wedding in 2015, I fell in love with the family, so when Rachel and her fiancé asked me to photograph theirs, I was over the moon! I had been looking forward to Rachel and Brandon’s wedding all year long, despite my growing belly and aching feet, and it was every bit as elegant, emotional and downright gorgeous as I imagined it would be.

We all remember our childhood crush. Whether he was the dreamy boy next door or the 4th grade class clown, he lives on in half-forgotten memories…and in dad’s catalogue of embarrassing stories to tell at the worst possible times. Abigail Malone was recommended to me from my best friend, and after meeting her and looking at her website, I knew we’d be lucky to have her as our photographer!  She brought so much love and positive energy to our day and everyone has complimented how wonderful our pictures are.  She was extremely easy to work with and caught moments throughout the day that we, as well as our friends and family, will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Describe your Wedding in 3 words.
Joyous, Fun, and BEST DAY EVER

What was your wedding venue and why did you choose it?
New Providence Presbyterian: Because my parents (mother and biological father, who has passed away) were married there and it’s the church my grandparents have attended the last 50+ years. Reception at Green Meadow Country Club the CC my grandparents have been members of as long as they can remember. My grandfather has dementia and my desire was for him to be familiar and feel at peace in both venues.
