Eclectically Elegant Chattanooga Wedding

In the age of Pinterest, Instagram and an infinite supply of wedding blogs bursting with inspiration, a once-original idea can be passed in the blink of an eye from bride to bride until it becomes ubiquitous. And while each of these trends is undeniably beautiful and worthy of repeating, there is something magical about a wedding that is utterly unique. A celebration that, through some picture-perfect alchemy, unmistakably bears the thumbprints of the couple saying “I do.” A celebration like the Chattanooga wedding of Mandi and Oliver – the couple who first locked eyes in the heart of an antique store.

With the help of stylist Molly Nicole, Mandi, who owns the vintage rental company Heirlooms, incorporated her love of Victorian furniture with Oliver’s passion for industrial spaces. By filling the 11th Street Ruins with an eclectic mix of velvet-covered armchairs, golden mirrors and heart stopping floral arrangements from Chickamauga Florist, they created a wedding space unlike any I had ever seen!

The rich textures, bold colors and distinctive character made this celebration such a treat to photograph, especially on film. The grain and true-to-life colors film provides give the images a timeless quality perfect for a day that so beautifully brings together past and present.

The guests were enchanted by the dream Mandi and Oliver had painted for their wedding day, drinking in every detail. But when Mandi entered the venue, it was as though there was nothing at all in the world but this couple in love. Under a canopy of twinkling lights and the wide, open sky, they kissed for the first time as husband and wife to a chorus of cheers from their guests. Overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to immortalize such a beautiful wedding day, I cheered right along with them.
