A drizzly December day couldn’t stop this beautiful wedding at The Standard in downtown Knoxville, TN…and being eight months pregnant (and huge!) couldn’t stop me from photographing it!
After capturing Rachel’s brother’s wedding in 2015, I fell in love with the family, so when Rachel and her fiancé asked me to photograph theirs, I was over the moon! I had been looking forward to Rachel and Brandon’s wedding all year long, despite my growing belly and aching feet, and it was every bit as elegant, emotional and downright gorgeous as I imagined it would be.

In the age of Pinterest, Instagram and an infinite supply of wedding blogs bursting with inspiration, a once-original idea can be passed in the blink of an eye from bride to bride until it becomes ubiquitous. And while each of these trends is undeniably beautiful and worthy of repeating, there is something magical about a wedding that is utterly unique. Reception at Green Meadow Country Club the CC my grandparents have been members of as long as they can remember. The Spanish inspired color palette of red, yellow, gold, orange, pink, and cobalt blue makes for quite a festive spring or summer affair. Rather than just the colors, we wanted to capture the Spanish way of life: vibrant, rich, and slow.

Abby was absolutely phenomenal. She is incredibly professional, and she knows exactly what she is doing. I wish she could photograph my whole life! The pictures are absolutely stunning from all of the times I worked with her (engagement, bridal, wedding). I can’t wait to find a reason to hire her again. She’s great to work with, and she has a deep knowledge of photography. I love her style, and I absolutely loved how she so perfectly captured all of the joy and emotions at the wedding. All of the pictures are so full of light and life. She kept us on schedule while still managing to capture all of the special moments in detail.
