Renee and Dan’s fall wedding was quintessentially perfect in every way. It was sunny, in the upper 70s, with a crisp breeze, and big fluffy clouds in the bluest October sky you’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t wish anyone a more perfect day than Renee and Dan. I knew from our first conversation that these two were very special. Renee is the sweetest most caring person. Her generosity was even more apparent when she gave me a baby gift on her wedding day (which I shot at five months pregnant). But, the weather was not the only thing that won me over. The style, design, and planning of all the details by Whitney Bowman Events was spot on. The entire wedding had the most fresh and romantic feel. I absolutely loved the neutral pallet of the bridesmaids dresses and the classic blush and green florals by LB Floral. Combine all this with the beautiful scenery at Marblegate Farm and you have yourself one amazing wedding day! Also, I have to mention that Renee and Dan got Married on October 13th, which is my own wedding anniversary date! As a wedding photographer, I like to think that I chose the best day of the whole year; and although I am usually shooting a wedding on our anniversary (sorry Ben) it is usually a highlight of my wedding season!

We all remember our childhood crush. Whether he was the dreamy boy next door or the 4th grade class clown, he lives on in half-forgotten memories…and in dad’s catalogue of embarrassing stories to tell at the worst possible times. But for most of us, that’s all a first crush ever is: a memory. For Fionnie, her childhood crush became so much more. On a radiant summer day at Marblegate Farm in Knoxville, Fionnie’s lifelong crush, Jacob, promised to love her forever.

In the age of Pinterest, Instagram and an infinite supply of wedding blogs bursting with inspiration, a once-original idea can be passed in the blink of an eye from bride to bride until it becomes ubiquitous. And while each of these trends is undeniably beautiful and worthy of repeating, there is something magical about a wedding that is utterly unique. A celebration that, through some picture-perfect alchemy, unmistakably bears the thumbprints of the couple saying “I do.” A celebration like the Chattanooga wedding of Mandi and Oliver – the couple who first locked eyes in the heart of an antique store.

She was so much fun! She had great ideas for a spot for our engagement photos and did more unique poses instead of the typical poses you see. I love that she uses real film. She captured our wedding day perfectly and I can’t wait to use her again in the future!

Abigail Malone was recommended to me from my best friend, and after meeting her and looking at her website, I knew we’d be lucky to have her as our photographer! She brought so much love and positive energy to our day and everyone has complimented how wonderful our pictures are. She was extremely easy to work with and caught moments throughout the day that we, as well as our friends and family, will cherish for the rest of our lives.
